Diesel generator set operating procedures

Many customers who buy diesel generator sets for the first time are not familiar with how to use diesel generator sets, for these problems our engineers have summarized the following seven considerations for customers, as follows

1. The generator to add oil, oil must be added to the appropriate location. Each generator is an oil scale, add the oil to the designated location on the scale, plus diesel, if the water-cooled diesel generator then also add water in the tank

2. The diesel engine side box or generator set control panel on the power transfer switch to the open state

3. Use the key to start the diesel generator（or controller）, check whether the electrical instrumentation or controller is running normally, whether the unit has a strange sound

4. Look at the diesel generator voltage, frequency can reach the value you require (50HZ/60HZ)

5. Carefully observe the generator on the working state lights and oil pressure, water temperature is normal, whether the unit has a strange noise

6. We must first unload all the load on the generator before shutting down, then the diesel generator speed down to idle speed, and finally stop the generator

7. If the generator is used for a long time, we can not immediately stop the generator after unloading the generator load, let the generator no-load and then run for a few minutes, so that the generator has enough cooling time. If the generator is shut down for a long time, the generator should be disconnected from the battery power cord, and in a period of time to start a generator set.
